VENUE RENTAL

The Brinkerhoff Mansion, situated in the heart of Springfield, Illinois' historical downtown area, offers a one-of-a-kind event venue that promises to leave a lasting impression on your guests. With its distinctive blend of vintage charm and relaxed ambiance, this venue is sure to create a truly unforgettable experience for your event. The mansion showcases its original wood trim and floors, an exquisite staircase centerpiece, rustic ornate crown molding, and five fireplaces that exude a warm and natural feel.

The Mansion Rooms

The Rose Parlor

With period correct, rose adorned wallpaper, this parlor shares the middle name of the current owners’ three year old grand-daughter, Nova Rose.  With a mirror soaring to the ceiling perched atop a faux marble fireplace, this is the smallest of the first floor rooms available for your event.  In spite of its size there are four floor to ceiling windows still harboring their fully functional fold-away shutters, and another set of pocket doors which lead into the neighboring parlor.  The Rose Parlor can be isolated to provide a cozy setting for an intimate tea with friends, small staff retreat, or can be combined with the neighboring parlor for a larger event.

The Isabella Room

Named after Mrs. Brinkerhoff, the Isabella Room boasts 13 foot ceilings, a marble fireplace and mantle, large chandelier and ample light from the southern-facing bay window as well as two other windows on the east wall.   The room easily seats 50 people utilizing 5 foot round tables and can be isolated for privacy.  Connected to the library by two 11 foot pocket doors, there is a very spacious feel to the room as well as easy flow into the neighboring library and dining room.

The Camila Parlor

Connected to the Rose Parlor by 11 foot pocket doors, the Camila Parlor is larger, includes west-facing bay windows, and although not functional, contains the only wood burning fireplace in the mansion.  Larger than it’s neighboring parlor, it is aptly named after the owners’ seven year old grand-daughter, Camila.  This space has direct access to the kitchen through a small back hallway and can be used by itself, in conjunction with the Rose Parlor, or as part of an entire first-floor event.  It is frequently used to set up standard tables for deserts, drinks, or several hightop tables as part of an open house or reception.

The Dining Room

Although frequently combined with other room rentals for catered food and drinks, this room can also be used separately for an intimate dinner party.  While enjoying the beauty of yet another of the five fireplaces on the first floor of the mansion, one large table centered in the room under a lovely, dimmable chandelier can serve as the perfect setting, either casual or formal, for a small gathering of up to 14 family, friends or business associates.  With direct access to the kitchen, catered meals are quickly and easily prepped and served.  As with other rooms in the mansion, the dining room can be closed off for added privacy.

The Library

Offers a warm family-room feel for guests to relax in during their event.
